evolve fashion

Evolve fashion is timeless. Inspired by current affairs and the past, it is at once practical, classic and fun. Every month, we derive our looks from the central issues Evolve has been grappling with, and scout for items in the current market that echo our inspirations.

The Evolve Fashionista evokes Pan, new ageism, iconoclasm, bohemianism and unisexism.
This person embraces eco-living, animal, trees, natural materials and healing crystals.
You'll usually find him or her in earthy colours, tribal prints or active/sports wear.

Each month, we feature a male trend and a female trend and decide why that trend is something the Evolve fashion-lover will wear and how to interpret it both ways for he and she.

We also spotlight a crystal and discuss its healing properties as suitable for that month.

The 3Rs IN FASHION

We're particularly excited with H&M's
ongoing  commitment to a more sustainable fashion
future with this spring's Conscious Collection.

The entire collection is made from sustainable materials, such as organic cotton, recycled
polyester, and Tencel, and marries utilitarianism and
romanticism.

The full women’s collection is available in H&M stores worldwide as well as online from March 25,  alongside Conscious collections for Men – blazers, chinos, Ikat print shirts and
shorts –as well as fun prints for kids and
babies.

Vanessa Paradis, who fronts the
campaign, says, “I like being part of something like the Conscious collection at H&M. I try my best to shop consciously, and vintage is very much
part of my wardrobe. I love the style and it works in an eco-friendly way because I like to use and reuse old clothes.”

Coinciding with the campaign will be
the launch of a Conscious garment collecting action at H&M.

Singapore customers will be able to bring any unwanted garments from any label to any store.
and in return for every bag of clothes donated, the customer will get a $10 discount
voucher with a minimum spending of $80, to a maximum of two bags per customer
per day.

Hong Kong customers can drop off their unwanted garments (minimum one item) at the collection stations at Tuen Mun and Tai Koo Shing to receive a 10% off voucher, no minimum spending, valid in any H & M store in Hong Kong.

Malaysia customers can drop off their unwanted garments (minimum one item) at any store to receive a 15% off coupon voucher, no minimum spending, valid up to 2 bags per day per customer in any H&M store in Malaysia up to 30 June.

H&M is the first store to encourage garment return on this global scale, in an effort to prevent clothing from going to landfill.

If you don't do anything else for Earth Day, know that shopping can save the world.
Drop off a bag of old clothes at H&M today!

This month for Earth Day, we are inspired by this timeless spring/summer look by Cardon from Argentina featured at the Mercedes-Benz Spring/Summer 2012 Fashion Week on September 13, 2011 in New York City.

It is totally in line with our love of ethnicity, freedom, health and raw natural materials.

No need to be long and lanky here, just a fun jingly belt, two colourful scarves and a knitted ethnic bag and we're ready to go.

crystals with attitude

Picture
Premium jewellers Loang and Noi have worked their magic on rutilated quartz and baroque pearls to create a new collection evocative of bohemia. Each bejewelled chain painstakingly studded with diamonds, rubies and sapphires complement the magnificent rutilated quartz (far right) and huge baroque pearls. Besides looking fabulous, the crystals can heal with regular adornment. The rutilated quartz for example, can ease bronchitis, asthma or root and crown chakra issues. If you suffer from fluid imbalances, PMS, bloating, skin and fertility problems, wearing a pearl neutralises your monthly effects.
