"Fulfill Your Heart, Master Your Mind and Rejuvenate Your
Body" is the theme of this year’s Heart Mind Body Festival.

Over this two-day weekend,
about 45 vendors from the health and well-being sector will gather under one roof to showcase their merchandise and services.

The festival is expected to attract about 1,000 visitors who are interested in merchandise such as health foods and natural products, as well as services such as complementary medicine, alternative therapies and energy healing.

“The HMB Festival aims to raise awareness about the availability and benefits of holistic approaches to healing,” said Mr Toh Lee Sin, the organizer of the festival. "I am a firm advocate in not just relieving the symptoms but also healing holistically the root causes of illnesses, be they physical, emotional or mental. Conventional medicine is excellent in relieving symptoms but not as great in healing root causes and may even exacerbate the very illnesses due to side effects of the drugs prescribed. There is therefore a need to consider other factors when treating illnesses because root causes are often non-physical
in nature. As it is, stress - whether it is due to work, finances or relationships - is wellrecognized as a major precursor of illnesses,” he added.

The festival began three years ago, and had previously been held for four times since at Suntec City Convention Centre as well as once at Fort Canning Centre. This year, the festival will be held at SCCCI Auditorium - a highly accessible venue just five minutes’ walk
from City Hall MRT station. The organizer, Mr Toh Lee Sin, is estimating about 500 visitors
per day
