1. Keep moving
Whether it’s working out at the gym, running or just taking a brisk walk for an hour each day, keeping your body in motion helps keep your energy flowing and gives your mind a chance to rest.
2. Try to eat more healthy food
You are what you eat as they say. Your body and your mind thrive on nutrients found in a variety of different foods, so try to have a diverse and mostly healthy diet.
3. Lay old grudges to rest
If you keep carrying a lot of chips on your shoulder, they will weigh you down and make your spiritual journey slow and difficult. Learn to forgive and let the past wash away bad feelings.
4. Be kind to others
Make a conscious effort to be nice to the people you encounter during the day, and try to keep a big smile on your face as you go through life.
5. Read more
It pays to train your mind just as much as you train your body, or even more, so take the time to find interesting new books and read for at least an hour a day.
6. Devote at least 10 minutes a day to meditation
Early in the morning or after a long hard day, you can take a quick shower and sit down in a quiet place to meditate. Even just 10 minutes a day will benefit you greatly.
7. Do something great for someone you love
By giving something to those you love, you don’t just give them a material thing or do them a favor, you actually give and receive positive energy that makes you feel good and strengthens your bond.
8. Embrace change
You cannot keep the status quo forever – all things are born into existence, they mature and ultimately wither away and are lost to the ravages of time. Learn to embrace change and go with the flow.
